Hi guys!
Recently I feel like I really want to get a pet (cat) here in Japan. So you know how to do this? Is pet shop the only option? It there anything else I need to think about as a foreigner?

No I don't have a pet, or maybe I have two... My roommate has one that I help with and my girlfriend has one. So I don't, but I all so do.

@dexter2.0 you are so right! I think it’s very important to think of the well being of the pet first! Do you have a pet here in Japan? Or any friends that have?

Yeah have a pet is really fun, but many people don't think how the pet will be alone for so long. Hopefully you find a way so you can get a pet.

@Detxter2.0 you have a very good point there. I so want one but as you said, I’m out and away for so many hours almost everyday so it would not be the best for the pet. Will try to see if I can find a solution to It all before getting a pet!

Ow I would also want a pet. But I don't know here in Japan.
I would say that if you are home a lot it's okay. If you're only a little then don't.
It's a bit of sad, to think that people want a pet to have fun with. But leave it home alone for 12h or more. Then coming home for a few hours before they sleep, wake up and leave the next day.

Yes I also heard that. I will deftintly look for that kind of organization! But I've heard it can be dificult as a foreigner to adopt from that kind of organization. Have you heard of this?

Alot of the pet shops are puppy-mills and extra. They do take the kittens far to early from the parents and keep them is small cages (which is both unlegal where I'm from)

I would recommend adopting from ARK a rescue organisitation :)
