I don't think it's that easy to say what time is best. There is so much things that you can do all year round.
@wera Hokkaido is covered in snow only half the year XD
If you want to go for skiing, Nov-Jan will be good. February probably. But I think the ticket will be expensive when its the time for ice sculpture festival.
I would say the best time to travel to japan is in spring time, so around end of may-begining of april!
A month that you shouldn't go to japan is august as that is the hottest month of the year D:
@wera it seems that hokkaido has snow only in the winter . I would suggest going in oct~dec if you want to make sure that there is snow.
I see you guys know Japanese climate very well. What about skiing on Hokkaido? Is there a snow all around the year or only by some time?
Some foreigners are coming here to see snow. This year, I had some friends who came to experience snow in Nigata. They don't have snow in their country so, they wanted to feel how is winter in Japan. Remember, they want something new to them and good that Japan has four seasons to enjoy.
Yes, May to June is a good season to come to Japan, but I want to suggest fall season is good too. You will see colorful mountains all over Japan. They call it koyo . You will
love it. It is not really clear when fall will start. It depends also what place to want to visit here in Japan. Of course, fall is early in a cold place like Hokkaido, Aomori. Anyway, you can enjoy a lot of things. You could check it out from north to south of Japan.
Personally I prefere may~june as the weather is sunny but not to hot :)
Thanks a lot guys! I see, that actually Japan is worth visiting each season ;)
