Hiraizumi, Oshu is the place where original culture founded a flower by powerful family Fujiwara of Oshu in the latter half of the Heian era (11-12 centuries). First Lord of Fujiwara Kiyohira, Lord of 2s Motohira, 3s Hidehira built the Hiraizumi culture for approximately 100 years. Lord first Kiyohira moved a residence to Hiraizumi from current Oshu-shi, Iwate Esashi in about 1100. Kitakami River is to the east of Hiraizumi, and there is Kinugawa to the north, and the Ota River is to the south, and has a slightly elevated mountain on the west among the rivers of big things and small things in three directions and is the ground which a trunk way goes along to the north and south at the center, and is a doorway of Oshu. They aimed at building the peaceful Utopia where gold mainly on the Buddhism culture won this material.
Chuson-ji was built by Jikaku-daishi-ennin in a temple of the Tendai sect for 850 years by a founder, Lord Kiyohira Fujiwara. The precincts are lined with "the main hall of a Buddhist temple", "Yakushi-do", "Shakado", the many temples including "the Amitabha hall" in Miyama including "the golden temple" which is a national treasure and make you feel solemn.
The gold temple becoming the world heritage is stored in a cover temple, and the photograph is not picked up because photography is prohibition, but one side of the plane is a small temple of 5.5m. A pillar, the whole temple such as the wall are covered with gold leaf from the floor, and the inner sanctum is decorated by mother-of-pearl work and lacquer work, metal engraving and is the highest peak of the peace Buddhist art. Amitabha of the principal idol, Kannon Bosatsu are enshrined there and express Buddhists' paradise. In a golden temple, it is Fujiwara A corpse of three generations and the severed head of the Lord of 4s Yasuhira are put.
There is Motsu-ji temple in the place of approximately 2km from Chuson-ji. It is the temple which the Lord of 2s Motohira and the Lord of 3s Hidehira built here. As for the then Buddhist monastery, it is claimed to have been a scale to exceed Chuson-ji. Unfortunately the Buddhist monastery had been destroyed by fire,the remains of a temple and the garden were left in a good state and were restored and maintained. Particularly, "Oizumiga-Ike (pond)" which opens in the precincts of the Heian era convey the splendor of the Jodo garden in now.
There is historical park "Esashi Fujiwara no sato" in the place of Oshu-shi Esashi of approximately 30km from Hiraizumi to the north. It is the historical park which reproduced living environment and the building of the times that Fujiwara lived in here. When the garden turns around by the immensity on foot, it takes it more than two hours. Because it is too wide, the bus going around the garden is operated and can observe it in a short time if you use this. In the garden, administrative office which is a then government office, agila wood Imperial Palace, then cityscape, Kiyohira building, golden temple, Yoshitsune-Jibutudo are reproduced. Using these buildings and places, TV such as the NHK TV saga "Onna-Josyu-Naotora" "Sanadamaru" "Gunshi-Kanbei" and the location of the movie were performed. In addition, it is the facilities which there are an experience or the trick art that you wear then clothes, and it is fun, and can spend 1st.
